Then, make a list of the communities you want to visit.

Visit the communities alone for the first time, and gather the information for yourself. Bringing your loved one with dementia along on the tours for the first time can be overwhelming for them – no matter what stage of dementia they are in. After you’ve found a community that you think would be a great fit, visit the community again with your loved one by eating lunch there or attending a program that they may be interested in.
