Start by putting a plan together for how your aging parent would like to be treated and what they’d like during end of life care. Have a living will, power of attorney for healthcare and finances in place. If your aging parent doesn’t have any of these documents ready, you can work with an attorney. By working with an attorney, you’ll receive help from someone else to achieve the best quality of life for your loved one.

Although having the conversation about end of life care is difficult, having a plan and making the decisions early will give you and your loved one a peace of mind.
