Having a Plan in Place

Who would care for your loved one if something were to happen to you, their primary caregiver? If the time comes (hopefully it doesn’t) when you need to make a sudden move for your loved one, having a plan in place will make it easier. As a caregiver, you know your loved ones needs the best. You can start creating a plan by visiting potential assisted living or nursing home communities or talking with family members about who would be able to help.

A respite stay may also be a good option for your loved one if they need some place to stay for a short period of time. Respite stays are also a great way to see how your loved one does outside the home.
